I’ve been teaching barre class at Barre Fitness St Croix for nearly five years! And the class is just as popular now as it ever has been! As the first (and currently, only) ‘barre’ instructor on St. Croix, I find myself continually challenged to keep students interested, to recruit new students, and also to maintain my own fitness level. Fortunately, my experience has been that once you catch the ‘barre bug’ – as I did several years ago- there’s no turning back!
This workout has given me and countless students increased strength, flexibility, and tone. It’s a whole body workout- combining exercises from ballet, pilates, and yoga. I keep our 70 minutes fun and upbeat by continually changing the music and mixing up the moves.
And anyone can follow me, Stacia Jung, on Spotify- to check out my barre babe playlists- they are all public. It’s not uncommon for students to come to my class just for the music! Upbeat dance music has a way of encouraging energy to flow!
Why Barre Fitness St Croix?
My own motivation in completing a 40 hr teacher training (with Core Fusion/Exhale Spa) stemmed from a background in dance, a desire to offer a class for dancers and non-dancers alike that focused on core strength and balance, and ultimately a chance to teach and attend a fun fitness class that included all of my favorite activities!
Students at Barre Fitness St Croix range in age, fitness level, and backgrounds. We have a diverse group that fluctuates week to week and year to year. One thing we all have in common though- is an interest in improving our health and wellness. And this is the common thread that keeps us coming back to the BARRE time and time again.
I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to workout with these amazing ladies (and sometimes some guys too!) and always enjoy the energy that my students bring to class.
Thank you all for your continued support! See you at the BARRE!
